Minneapolis’ Mosaic Event Space Expands

The downtown venue takes over two more floors to offer a wider variety of events.

Since its 2023 debut, Mosaic Venue has become a popular destination for conferences, fundraisers, annual meetings, and weddings—with room to seat as many as 450 in its airy 13,500-square-foot third-floor space overlooking downtown Minneapolis. This summer, Mosaic opens two new event spaces within its Elliot Park building.

With the exit of its building mate, Finnegans Brewery, Mosaic has created Montage Hall on the first floor, a flexible 4,000-square-foot space with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be divided into two rooms or sectioned off for breakout sessions.

The Den is Mosaic’s new speakeasy-style lounge on the second floor with space for around 200 guests. Darker and more moody than Mosaic’s larger rooms, The Den is perfect for a company party or entertaining clients, says venue co-founder and CEO David O’Neil. Carrying over a bit of the Finnegans flavor, The Den serves local beers, craft cocktails, and an extensive menu of premium spirits.

Now Mosaic will be able to accommodate larger, multifaceted events, or run multiple events at the same time, says cofounder and general manager Phuong O’Neil. “We’re trying to create spaces where people feel like they can truly express themselves.”

Adds David O’Neil, “We sell adaptability. We tell our clients to be themselves, and we figure out how to do that uniquely.”
