After more than three decades at Carlson Towers in Minnetonka, Radisson Hotel Group, which was acquired in 2019 by Jin Jiang International Holdings Co., has moved its American headquarters to the new 10 West End building in St. Louis Park. The hotel brand’s Americas division is now slated to be acquired by competing hotel chain Choice Hotels International. Evolving office habits were top of mind when Radisson engaged Minneapolis design firm Studio BV. Founder and CEO Betsy Vohs drew inspiration from Radisson’s world of hospitality, saying she wanted employees to feel “just like hotel guests” as they entered the office—from a reception area that feels more like a hotel lobby to a game room and cozy collaboration spaces. “It’s all about the future of hospitality. They’re the headquarters of the Americas—they want to be fresh, they want to be modern, they want to be future-forward,” Vohs says. “The decision alone to go somewhere new to be more simple and more modern—it’s bold and optimistic.”
