Maybe it’s because despite our sometimes brutal weather conditions, we still find ways to succeed, and even have fun. Maybe it’s because we reached a point where we’re simply tired of being let down by politicians and economic forces beyond our control. Whatever the reason, Minnesotans are surprisingly upbeat about the prospects of their own businesses as they take on what most believe to be their most pressing business challenge—economic uncertainty.
Instead of battening the hatches, business leaders across the state are hiring new, and improving existing, talent; doing more with sales and marketing; and improving overall efficiencies, according to a survey recently conducted by Twin Cities Business and Minneapolis-headquartered law firm Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.
Such improvements are easier said than done, yet hundreds of leaders are accomplishing them. For this month’s issue, we reached out to five such leaders to hear firsthand about the smart solutions they’ve put to work in today’s uncertain economic climate.
