Six Minnesotans Win Entrepreneur Of The Year Regional Awards
Six Minnesota businesspeople took home Ernst & Young LLP’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Heartland awards late last week.
An independent panel of judges picked the winners from a group of 38 finalists. The judging panel included prior Heartland winners Cheri Beranek, Christine Lantinen, and Kristen Denzer, along with Bread & Butter managing partner Mary Grove.
EY unveiled the winners at a ceremony at the Fillmore in Minneapolis on Thursday. The awardees were selected “based on their demonstration of long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes,” EY officials said in a statement.
All 13 Heartland winners are now eligible for National Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, which will be unveiled in November.
The six Minnesota winners are:
- Rick Bauerly of St. Cloud-based private investment and holding company Granite Partners
- Alex French and Andrew Healy of Minneapolis-based Bizzy Cold Brew, maker of cold brew beverages.
- Ron Konezny of Hopkins-based Digi International, an “Industrial Internet of Things” tech firm
- Erin Pash of Mendota Heights-based Ellie Mental Health, a therapy franchise with more than 200 clinics
- Beth Wozniak of nVent, a St. Louis Park-based electrical enclosures manufacturer.
TCB, a regional sponsor of EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program, will profile all the Minnesota-based winners and finalists in the upcoming August/September issue.
Last year, leaders from nine Minnesota companies won Heartland awards.
