Duffy & Partners, a Minneapolis-based branding and design firm, said Wednesday that General Manager Tricia Davidson has tendered her resignation.

Davidson spent about a dozen years at Duffy & Partners but has decided to “leave for new opportunities,” the company said, adding that she’s currently exploring business consulting opportunities.

The company has yet to determine whether it will hire a replacement for Davidson’s position, a spokesperson said. Davidson was described as a partner, but the company declined to say whether she has (or has sold) an ownership stake in the firm.

Davidson is credited with helping Duffy & Partners spin off from Minneapolis-based Fallon.

“Tricia’s contributions have been invaluable as we successfully transitioned our firm from a subsidiary to an independent design firm with global clients,” Joe Duffy, the firm’s founder and creative director, said in a statement. “We thank her for her leadership as well as for her charm, wit, and friendship. While she will be missed, we support her desires for new challenges.”

Duffy & Partners has been producing branding and design work for nearly three decades, creating corporate identities, packaging design, and other work for major international brands such as Coca-Cola and Sony, as well as smaller, local organizations such as Nice Ride Minnesota.

Duffy & Partners employs 16 people, all of whom work in Minneapolis.

Last year, the firm helped revamp the image of St. Paul-based Summit Brewing, creating a new logo and package design. The new packaging was recently rolled out at liquor retailers.
