Gucci Opens New Boutique at Southdale Center

The boutique adds to several new tenants in the luxury wing that opened earlier this year.

Gucci has opened its doors in the luxury wing at Southdale Center, adding another shop to the recently updated Edina mall.

The luxury brand’s first standalone boutique in the Twin Cities is almost 8,000 square feet, according to an announcement from Southdale. It opens just in time for the holiday season.

Gucci’s new boutique will feature men’s and women’s accessories, handbags, shoes, pieces from the fashion house’s travel collection, and other lines.

Southdale Center has changed a lot over the past few years. In 2019, Life Time opened an athletic club with a rooftop pool and coworking space where JC Penny once stood. Just last year, Kowalski’s Market and a mini-golf concept, Puttshack, opened.

The mall continued to evolve earlier this year. It unveiled its luxury wing to the public with David Yurman as its first store. Since then, Max Mara, Moncler, Watches of Switzerland, and Louis Vuitton—a relocation from the Galleria, across the street—have opened their doors.

Gucci’s space at Southdale Center is its second location in Minnesota. The company also has a store located within Nordstrom at the Mall of America.
