While the pinstripes seemed well received, judging by social media, the new “M” was panned as too similar to the old Miami Marlins logo. But that’s just chatter—the cash register tells the story. The Twins say the new road hat with an updated white “M” and red star set against a navy blue field is the top-selling new item. The last time the Twins took the field with an “M” on their caps was 2013.

“Twin Cities” t-shirt

The Twins are the first pro sports team to spell out “Twin Cities” on a uniform. Fans seem to appreciate the homage to the original 1961 Twins typeface. You can get it on hats and jerseys, but the men’s tee is most popular.
