U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials Headed to Minneapolis

Suni Lee announced the Gymnastics Trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics, coming to Target Center June 27-30, 2024.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials for gymnastics, which will determine the U.S. team for the Paris 2024 games, will be held at Target Center next year, June 27-30. Minnesota’s own Olympic gold medal gymnast, St. Paul native Sunisa Lee, announced the news Tuesday at a press conference.

“I can’t wait for the Olympic Trials to be in my backyard,” Lee said in a statement. “Watching the Olympians who came before me was such an inspiration when I was growing up, and it means so much to know that the young athletes of Minnesota will have a chance to watch and be inspired by the best gymnasts in America.”

Tickets are on sale now, along with a volunteer sign up form.

Leading up to the Olympic Trials, the USA Gymnastics Championships will take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center, starting on June 22. The organizing committee, let by regional commission Minnesota Sports and Events, is already using the moniker “Gymnastics City USA 2024.” This will be the first time Minneapolis hosts the gymnastics trials.
