Twins Reveal New Food Lineup For Target Field (Photos)
The Minnesota Twins unveiled a mouthful of new stadium food and beverage offerings Tuesday from local favorites such as Butcher and the Boar and Izzy’s Ice Cream.
The Butcher and the Boar grill, a new addition to the ballpark, will serve a barbeque basket of rib tips with house-made spicy pickles along with local craft beers, Knob Creek bourbon, and a Jim Beam “Hurricane” cocktail. Butcher and the Boar, a restaurant located on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, was a James Beard Award semifinalist for best new restaurant in 2013.
Chisholm-based Valentini’s Supper Club is bringing an Italian burger (a meatball in the form of a patty, served as a hamburger and topped with pepperoni, provolone, and red sauce), the “Porketta Slugger” (porketta and cream cheese in an eggroll, served with sauce), and buckets of mini meatballs to the stadium.

Guests can then cool their palates down with the addition of Izzy’s hand-dipped ice cream in section 114 near Hrbek’s restaurant, or by ordering a new cucumber mint lemonade with vodka cocktail in section 119.

Other new treats include a smoked barbeque brisket sandwich with vinegar slaw and maple syrup hot sauce from the carvery at Gate 6 and “Crispy Belly Bacon” with jalapeno jelly and vinegar slaw from Andrew Zimmern’s Canteen.

“The Twins will continue to make food and beverage offerings a top priority to enhance the overall game day experience at Target Field,” Twins President Dave St. Peter said in a statement. “The high-quality products, local favorites, and unparalleled selection have played a significant role in making Target Field one of America’s greatest sports venues.”
