According to those who have seen it, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz is an artful and spectacular extension of the movie, with extra songs, dazzling special effects, and eyeballs full of Webber’s trademark stagecraft. It’s also got one thing the movie doesn’t: Witches who sing.
