Sun Country Launches Travel Service for Businesses
Mendota Heights-based Sun Country Airlines has launched a new service that offers personalized travel management services to businesses.
Called Sun Country Business Concierge Travel Specialists, the program provides individualized service to business clients and helps them with everything from travel arrangements to restaurant reservations.
The service will help companies book the most affordable flights on any airline and provide after-hours support when travel plans change. However, customers get “exclusive corporate travel benefits” when they fly Sun Country. Those benefits may include waived ticket change fees, complimentary advance seat assignments, and priority boarding.
The service imposes no minimum requirements, and the fee is $30 per trip booked.
Wendy Williams Blackshaw, Sun Country's vice president of marketing and sales, said in a statement that the new program is part of an “expanding range of travel services” offered by the company.
In December, Sun Country began offering vacation packages. It also offers cruise bookings, group sales, and charter flights in addition to booking regular flights.
To kick off the new business concierge program, Sun Country is offering the first 30 days of booking services free to new clients.
Sun Country Airlines was established in 1982. It flies to destinations in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean; in summer 2010, it also offered flights to London. In September, a U.S. District Court judge approved Sun Country's reorganization plan, thereby giving the company the go-ahead to emerge from bankruptcy-which it entered into in October 2008.
