6 – WomenVenture’s Annual Luncheon

Join over 1,000 businesspeople at WomenVenture’s 20th annual fall fundraising luncheon. The MC will be singer and WCCO radio host Jearlyn Steele. This year’s keynote speaker, Angie Bastian, cofounder and president of Boomchickapop popcorn, will share her success in building a booming company and how she continues to grow her business. WomenVenture also will honor three local female entrepreneurs with their “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained” awards.

This all-day event features bloggers with all levels of experience, from veteran professionals to novice hobbyists. More than a dozen bloggers will take the stage to share their best practices, industry news and networking opportunities. Among the bloggers is keynote speaker Keane Amdahl, a local food blogger who’s written pieces for City Pages, Eater, Twin Cities Food Finds and more. MnSearch and the Twin Cities WordPress User Group will be on hand providing SEO and WordPress assistance.
