MN Cup Unveils Semifinalists List

Applications opened for the yearly competition in March.

The Minnesota Cup on Monday unveiled a list of 90 semifinalists that will advance in the statewide entrepreneurial competition.

The 90 companies will vie for a share of a $500,000 prize, which they’ll use as seed capital.

“Semifinalists will also receive mentorship, education, promotional support and other resources to advance their businesses,” organizers said in an emailed announcement. “MN Cup is grateful to our sponsors, partners and volunteers for their commitment to this program during challenging times.”

As in prior years, the semifinalists span seven main categories: education and training; energy, “clean-tech,” and water; food, agriculture, and beverage; general; high-tech; impact ventures; and life sciences and health IT. There are also two divisions for students and youth competitors.
