MN Cup Semifinalists Announced

The competition is now down to 80 teams.

The MN Cup announced the 80 teams that will move forward as semifinalists, down from the 616 companies that applied.
The competition, now in its 12th year, takes startups from across the state and has them compete for over $400,000 in prize money, mentoring, networking and other support.
“Every year, our state has reaped the benefits of entrepreneurial innovation thanks to the business visionaries who participate in and support the MN Cup competition,” say cofounder Scott Litman. “We’re absolutely looking forward to seeing what these semifinalists will accomplish as we move toward the final round.”
Competitors are split into several different categories. Those include energy/clean tech/water, food/agriculture/beverage, general, high tech, life science/health IT, social entrepreneurship, students and youth. The youth competition is new this year and is aimed at entrepreneurs under the age of 18.
