Aura Fabricators Expands With New Manufacturing Facility

The additional plant will also allow the company to boost its staff size by more than 40 percent.

Aura Fabricators Inc. said on Thursday it would expand with a new manufacturing facility in Fergus Falls.
The Dalton-based company is investing upwards of $3.7 million in the new plant that will allow for 14 new hires. The jobs will pay an average wage of $20.50 per hour, according to Aura Fabricators.
Since the company’s founding in March 2015, it has grown steadily through the sales of its metal products, which include ornamental railings, overhead signs, trusses and steel bridge components. A number of Aura Fabricator’s customers come from around the country, some of which include state departments of transportation.
Once the project is completed, the company’s staff size is expected to grow by more than 40 percent, from 34 workers to 48.
If Aura Fabricators meets its hiring and investment commitments, it is eligible for a $189,000 grant from the state’s Job Creation Fund.
“Aura Fabricators has a reputation for making high-quality products and meeting project deadlines,” said Shawntera Hardy, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. “This funding supports the company’s growth plans and will help it to remain competitive nationally.”
The Job Creation Fund, established in 2014, requires that businesses create at least 10 full-time jobs and invest a half million dollars to be eligible for financial assistance. To date, the program has provided $31 million toward 66 business expansion projects in Minnesota.
