8 Attys. Depart One Firm To Open Mpls. Office For Another
Eight attorneys have departed the Minneapolis office of one national law firm in order to open a Twin Cities location for another national firm.
Philadelphia-based Cozen O’Connor recently announced that the following transactional and commercial litigation attorneys, all of whom previously worked at the Minneapolis office of Chicago-based Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP, have joined its new Minneapolis office: Thomas Wallrich, Steven Silton, Thomas Kane, Peter Crema, Nadia Hasan, Heather Marx, Joel Nesset, and Kristi Zentner.
The attorneys joined Cozen O’Connor on Monday to open the firm’s first-ever Twin Cities office, according to a firm spokeswoman. In addition to the eight attorneys, the new office employs a couple of paralegals and some support staff.
The new office is located at 33 South Sixth Street in downtown Minneapolis.
Cozen O’Connor CEO Michael Heller said in a statement that the firm “has a history of growing opportunistically, adding to our strengths when we spot a great opportunity, and the addition of this group is consistent with this approach.”
Heller said Minneapolis was attractive because it is “a primary business center between Chicago and Seattle” and a “major U.S. economic hub.”
“With a national footprint and sophisticated capabilities in nearly every area of business law, [Cozen O’Connor] represents a great platform for us to grow our practices,” Wallrich, who now serves as the office managing partner for Cozen O’Connor’s Minneapolis office, said in a statement.
Cozen O’Connor has 575 attorneys and 23 offices in the United States and the United Kingdom.
