2017 Meetings And Events Resource Guide
Minneapolis is getting ready for its national close-up, as the 2018 Super Bowl set for U.S. Bank Stadium is less than a year away.
But 2017 is expected to be another busy year for the hospitality sector, and Minneapolis recently topped 8,000 hotel rooms in the downtown district.
Five new hotels, offering 940 rooms, opened in the fall of 2016, which gives the region greater capacity to attract and host large-scale events. The new properties are AC Hotel, Embassy Suites, Radisson RED, Hewing and Hampton Inn and Suites.
Beyond the people who work in hotels, a diverse group of private businesses and independent contractors provide the flowers, catered food, entertainment and other services to support national, state and local events.
Every year Twin Cities Business publishes a Meetings and Events Resource Guide that chronicles 11 categories of hospitality businesses. This directory is designed to help companies and trade associations identify the professional partners they need to stage successful events.
