2015 MN Cup Finalists Announced

Twenty-one companies are competing for $327,000 in prizes.

MN Cup, a statewide entrepreneurial competition, announced today the 21 finalists that will compete for the top spot.

Finalists compete across seven divisions—energy/clean tech/water, food/ag/beverage, general, high tech, life science/health IT, social entrepreneurship and students—for the chance to win a share of $327,000 in prize money.

“These [companies] worked tirelessly through the summer with MN Cup volunteer mentors to fine-tune their business plans, develop presentations and videos,” MN Cup executive director Melissa Kjolsing said in a statement. “While it was difficult to choose, these 21 are among the best we’ve seen in our eleven years of competition and are well positioned to succeed.”

One company from each division will be declared the division winner later this month and will receive $30,000 in prize money. Those seven teams will then compete for the top spot, which includes $50,000 in seed money.
