World’s Largest Manufacturer Of Fireplaces, Stoves Expands In Minnesota

DEED will be providing the company with partial funding for their expansion project.

Hearth & Home Technologies said on Thursday it plans to expand the square footage and employment at its Lake City manufacturing facilities.
The Lakeville-based maker of fireplace products expects to add 37 jobs as part of a $1.45 million expansion. The company will also convert 20,000 square feet of warehouse space into an engineering lab, offices and a testing space.
The state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) will provide $194,010 from the Job Creation Fund to support for the project.
The Job Creation Fund has awarded $30.2 million for 62 business expansion projects in Minnesota since it rolled out in 2013. It claims to have created 3,792 full-time jobs and led businesses to invest $676.9 million in state.
“Hearth & Home Technologies is the largest manufacturer and supplier of fireplaces, stoves and hearth products in the world,” said Shawntera Hardy, the newly appointed DEED commissioner. “We’re grateful to the company for bringing new jobs to the Lake City area and investing in Minnesota.”
