Vomela Buys WA-Based Graphics Co.
C2 Imaging, LLC—owned by the St. Paul-based Vomela Group—recently announced that it has acquired Superior Imaging Group, which provides screen printing and digital services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Superior Imaging, based in Kent, Washington, provides design, print, fulfillment, fabrication, and shipping services. The markets it serves include original equipment manufacturing, quick service retail, vehicle graphics, beverage services, and action sports.
C2 Imaging, meanwhile, is one of the largest subsidiaries within the Vomela Group, a specialty graphics company. C2’s specialties include retail, environmental, fleet and vehicle, and original equipment manufacturer graphics.
The acquisition of Superior Imaging “provides the C2 team with a strong regional graphics sales and production capability in the heart of the strategic northwest corridor,” Mike Korth, senior vice president of C2 Imaging, said in a prepared statement.
Vomela Group has been around for 65 years and employs 925 people in 19 U.S. cities and in Canada. Its revenues are expected to total about $200 million in 2012. It provides retail graphics and services to major retailers, convenience stores, fast-food markets, and vehicle-related graphics to the trucking, corporate fleet, bus, light-rail, recreational vehicle, and NASCAR markets.
Superior Imaging is the third company that Vomela has bought within the past year: In March, it acquired Indianapolis-based Pratt Corporation, which provides décor and point-of-purchase programs for large national retailers. And last October, it purchased Knoxville, Tennessee-based American Screen Art, which supplies digital and screen-printed graphic products, including fleet graphics, point-of-purchase displays, murals, banners, in-store displays, and outdoor signage.
