Vomela Buys Store-Décor Co. Pratt Corp.

The acquisition of Pratt Corporation, which provides store décor and point-of-purchase programs for large national retailers, is expected to better position Vomela to serve its growing retail customer base.

The Vomela Group, based in St. Paul, recently announced that it has purchased the business and assets of Indianapolis-based Pratt Corporation.

Pratt provides store décor and point-of-purchase programs for large national retailers. The business will operate as Pratt Visual Solutions.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vomela said that Pratt Corporation President and CEO Dan Pratt will serve as Pratt Visual Solutions' president, and Pratt Corporation Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tom Pratt will serve as the new entity's vice president of sales and marketing.

Vomela Specialty Company, Vomela Group's parent, designs, manufactures, and installs graphics products. Its specialties include retail, environmental, fleet and vehicle, and original equipment manufacturer graphics. Vomela employs 900 people in both the United States and Canada, and its revenues are expected to total about $200 million in 2012.

“Bringing the Pratt business into the Vomela family of companies will allow us to serve our growing retail customer base with added capability, capacity, and insight into retail markets,” Vomela President Mark Auth said in a statement.
