Viral Video Boosts Envoy Medical Sales Inquiries

A recently posted video by an Envoy Medical patient went viral-and it reportedly increased sales inquiries received by the company by 150 percent.

Sales inquiries for Envoy Medical Corporation's hearing aid spiked 150 percent after a video of a patient hearing her own voice through the implant for the first time went viral on the Internet, according to a report by medical news Web site MedCity News.

Sarah Churman, a 29-year-old woman who suffered from severe hearing impairment since birth, reportedly posted a video of herself hearing her voice loud and clear for the first time after being implanted with Envoy's Esteem device. The video went viral, boosting the White Bear Township-based company's sales and bringing it into the limelight, according to MedCity. Churman and Envoy representatives have reportedly appeared on the Today show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox & Friends, and CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 and Sanjay Gupta, M.D., among others.
