Not since the late Andy Kaufman has a comedian kept his audiences guessing as deftly as Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock alumnus Tracy Morgan. Is he an idiot or a genius? Purposely strange or has a screw loose? It’s sometimes hard to tell, but rest assured that Morgan’s comedy is born of a shrewd, if skewed, intelligence. No one is that funny without being smart too—smarter than he’ll ever let on.
