Twin Cities Business was awarded first place for investigative journalism in its division at the Society of American Business Editors and Writers’ (SABEW) “Best In Business” show on Saturday.
 
Our February 2014 cover, “Whose Legacy Is It?” by Dave Beal and Sarah Lutman exposed a lack of oversight of the $7.5 billion in taxpayer funders that will be raised through Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment.
 
The BIB awards recognized outstanding business stories published or aired in 2014. Around 200 journalists and academics, serving as judges, whittled down the winners from more than 1,000 entries from 178 news outlets in 73 categories.
