Target’s Internships Among the 20 Highest-Rated
Minneapolis-based Target Corporation offers one of the 20 highest-rated internships in the country, according to survey results released Friday.
Over the last three years, career website Glassdoor has surveyed former and current interns at nearly 3,300 U.S. companies. Respondents rated their level of satisfaction with their employers and rated their internships on a five-point scale in different categories, including interview difficulty and salary paid. The website then compiled a ranked list based on each company's overall rating.
Target, which ranked 15th, received an overall rating of 3.8; its average rating for interview difficulty was 3.0.
According to the survey, the retailer's business analyst interns are paid an average monthly salary of $2,785, while its executive interns are paid $2,263 each month. Overall, the company's interns are paid an average monthly salary of $2,360.
Target was the only Minnesota-based company on Glassdoor's list.
Technology giant Google topped the list with an overall rating of 4.3; Microsoft, Qualcomm, MTV Networks, and State Farm rounded out the top five.
Target is Minnesota's second-largest public company based on revenue, which totaled $68.5 billion in the fiscal year that ended in January.
