Dawn of a Dream Gala
The 36th annual gala, hosted by the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, is expected to draw 800 business and community leaders. Emceed by KARE11’s Belinda Jensen, attendees can hear patients’ stories and learn about progress in childhood cancer research. There will be live music, a wine wall and an auction. Hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dinner are included.

Firefighters for Healing Red Tie Gala
Pick out a red dress or tie for the second annual Red Tie Gala. Music, a live and silent auction, and stories of hope are the order of the evening. The nonprofit was founded by a former Minneapolis firefighter, after he spent time as a patient in a hospital burn unit. The organization helps support children with burn injuries.

CTE Works Summit
This summit focuses on how educational institutions are partnering with business and industry leaders to develop critical skills for students to succeed in the workplace. This event is sponsored by Minnesota State and the Minnesota Department of Education. Workshops will offer an interactive experience for those who want to create effective career pathways.

Nov. 19
JFCS Benefit
Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis will host its 28th annual event, one of the largest Jewish organizational fundraisers in the Twin Cities. Emceed by MPR’s Cathy Wurzer, the night will feature New York-based comedian Gary Gulman and a raffle with luxurious prizes. Proceeds support the nonprofit’s programs to help people in need.

MSP Mingle
MSP Mingle is a social event aimed at professionals of color, who can network while enjoying food, drinks and music. The event is co-sponsored by the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and Make It. MSP. Guests are encouraged to donate canned food or a children’s book.
