Pentair Becomes Founding Partner At US Bank Stadium
Pentair announced on Tuesday that it had become a founding partner of U.S. Bank Stadium and was recognized as the “official sustainable water provider” of the Minnesota Vikings.
As part of the partnership, Pentair will have an entry gate named after them, branding in the entrance and prominent signage. They will also offer filtered drinking water at filling stations throughout the stadium. The filtered water, which will come from the Mississippi River just a few blocks away, is aimed at reducing the amount of bottled water used.
“Pentair is well-regarded locally and globally for its leadership in helping to manage the world’s precious water resources,” Vikings owner Mark Wilf said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with Pentair to deliver great-tasting, filtered drinking water to our fans on game day.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but a spokeswoman for the company said the partnership would last for 10 years. A similar deal that off-road vehicle manufacturer Polaris made to become a founding partner at the stadium had an estimated value in the tens of millions.
Pentair joins Polaris, beverage producer MillerCoors, grocer Hy-Vee, agribusiness Land O’Lakes and telecommunications provider CenturyLink as a founding partner for U.S. Bank Stadium. It’s expected to open in time for the Vikings’ next NFL season.
