ISES Quick Tips For Event Planners: October
Grow your presence – Effective use of social media before, during and after your event will help your organization continue to get the message out through new channels and new engaged followers.
Let attendees help choose topics and discussion – Be sure to block off a period of time for attendee’s chosen topics and discussion. Allow for submission of topics via Twitter to see what they want to hear more about.
Use a “Twitter wall” with approval controls – A display with attendees’ tweets can be a great way to get people engaged and sharing with one another. Be sure to have an approval step in place to keep it from becoming a distraction or displaying inappropriate content.
Have a dedicated audience interaction screen – Use two screens for the main presentation and videos. Utilize a third screen in the middle for audience interaction. A dedicated screen can improve participation during discussions.
Keep the conversation going – After the event, keep the conversation going with any number of platforms. Include access to the presentations and videos from the event.
