Kensington Microsaver

Kensington Microsaver

If you like to get out of the office sometimes and take advantage of free wi-fi in public places, such as coffee shops, you’re familiar with a certain anxiety: Will your laptop be safe if you run to the restroom or go out and plug the parking meter? With the Kensington Microsaver ($55), you can secure your computer to a table as with a standard lock. But the device goes one further by sounding an alarm if anyone tries to cut the cable or remove it from your laptop’s security slot. The alarm can be heard up to 50 feet away, so you won’t have any trouble hearing it while you’re standing in line for a refill.
