Best Use Of Marketing/Graphic Design
A client-appreciation event put on by a commercial building contractor Kraus-Anderson highlighted the company’s construction expertise, as well as it’s work in realty, insurance, mortgage, and capital. The event’s retro “road trip” theme, with the motto, “Home or Away, Call on KA,” underscored the company’s nationwide reach.
A black carpet “highway” led guests into the venue, and “KA Rangers” in rolled up jeans and branded camp shirts acted as greeters. The company’s regional offices were represented in the food stations. For instance, the Southwest Stop, for the Arizona office, included a live country band, a mechanical calf-roping game, Mexican beer, and quesadillas. The Kansas City office was represented with blues singers and a buffet including ribs. Oversized retro-style postcards highlighted each region.
Event materials incorporated red and black as part of the retro theme, and reflected the colors of the company logo. A winged version of the logo—which is shaped like a highway sign—was created for the event. The accordion-fold invitation included usable postcards. A large U.S. map displayed at the event showed Kraus-Anderson offices, and cartoon call-outs depicted company projects around the country.
