Hedge Fund Whitebox Advisors Launches Research Portal

The firm's new research Web site is scheduled to launch on September 28 and will allow academics and investment professionals to share their white papers and other research on the hedge fund industry.

Minneapolis-based hedge fund Whitebox Advisors will launch a research portal later this month to curate ideas on sound investment practices.

The new Web site, Whitebox Selected Research, will offer a platform for investment professionals and academics to post their research, white papers, and other published works on a wide range of topics-everything from the economy to market anomalies to firm management.

“If it inspires a 'Eureka moment' for investors, we're interested,” Richard Vigilante, Whitebox Advisors' director of research, said in a statement. “With Whitebox Selected Research, our firm will continue to promote intellectually creative approaches to investing throughout our industry.”

The Web site is scheduled to go live on September 28. The firm's research staff, investment professionals, and fund managers will collaborate on selecting submissions for the site. Submissions are now being accepted by email at submissions@whiteboxselectedresearch.com and will be accepted on the site once it goes live.

Whitebox Advisors manages $2.8 billion worth of assets and employs more than 70 people.
