General Mills Releasing Two Girl Scout Cookie Cereals Next Year
General Mills will launch limited-edition Girl Scout cookie cereals at the start of next year—right around the time Girl Scout cookie season begins—the company said Friday.
The partnership between the Golden Valley-based food manufacturer and the Girl Scouts of America was initially intended to be a surprise until Instagram user Candy Hunting uncovered two stock images last week and posted them online. General Mills later confirmed with Thrillist that the cereals would become available nationwide in January.
Thin Mints and Carmel Crunch (also known as Samoas) are the two cereal flavors that will appear on store shelves. No other cookies are expected to receive a cereal transformation.
More information on the cereal partnership will be released near the time of launch.
