Financial Architects Partners Opens Its 1st Mpls. Office
The Financial Architects Partners, LLC (FAP)-a Boston-based estate planning life insurance firm-has opened its first Minneapolis office.
The Minneapolis location, located in the IDS Center, is FAP's fourth office: It also operates in Boston; Providence, Rhode Island; and Palo Alto, California. FAP named Jon Christie managing director of the new regional office, which will provide wealth-transfer life-insurance planning for “ultra-affluent” families and their advisors, the company said in a news release. It manages more than $6 billion of trust-owned life insurance for approximately 225 families.
Christie has more than 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry. He founded Pittsburgh-based Christie and Associates in 1986, where he designed innovative solutions for his clients' life insurance planning, according to FAP.
“Minneapolis is an important community to us, and adding this office enhances the FAP network,” FAP CEO David Carroll said in a statement. “Jon Christie has the experience, skills, and reputation that we look for to represent the FAP team. We are thrilled to add Jon as a key member of our national firm, and we look to add additional key personnel to our Minneapolis office in the near future.”
FAP spokeswoman Christine Johnson told Twin Cities Business that the Minneapolis office officially opened Monday, and Christie is currently the only employee there. She said that the company doesn't have immediate plans to hire in Minneapolis and is unsure how many additional employees will eventually be hired there.
