Description
The Carlson School of Management's 1st Tuesday Speaker Series began in 1992 to provide an opportunity for alumni and friends of the Carlson School to continue their management education. The 1st Tuesday Speaker Series features top executives addressing hot topics in business and leadership.
Held on the first Tuesday of every month at the McNamara Alumni Center, the program attracts alumni and business leaders from throughout the corporate community and has become an attractive spot for professionals in the metropolitan area to network.
GGV Capital Co-founder and Venture Partner Hany Nada
Hany Nada is co-founder of GGV Capital and has worked as a long-term partner with more than 150 entrepreneurs to build companies that can succeed in today’s global marketplace.
Nada made his first investment in China in 2001 and has led the firm’s successful investments in Heptagon, Tudou, athenahealth, Endeca, Glu Mobile, Kintana, Turbine, and Xfire. As a venture partner, he serves on the boards of Draft Kings, PlayHaven, Glu Mobile, and Wild Tangent, and as a board observer for SoundCloud and Houzz, investments he led.
Nada spent the first 10 years of his career on Wall Street as a top-ranked research analyst at Piper Jaffray, focusing on internet software and infrastructure. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he earned a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in political science.
