Description
The Carlson School of Management's 1st Tuesday Speaker Series began in 1992 to provide an opportunity for alumni and friends of the Carlson School to continue their management education. The 1st Tuesday Speaker Series features top executives addressing hot topics in business and leadership.
Held on the first Tuesday of every month at the McNamara Alumni Center, the program attracts alumni and business leaders from throughout the corporate community and has become an attractive spot for professionals in the metropolitan area to network.
Scott Wine is chairman and CEO of Polaris Industries, Inc., a $6 billion market leader in powersports that produces off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, motorcycles, boats, and on-road electric/hybrid-powered vehicles.
Wine joined the company in 2008 after serving as the president of Fire Safety Americas, a division of United Technologies. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at Danaher Corporation, serving as president of its Jacob Vehicle Systems and Veeder-Root subsidiaries. He also held various international and domestic posts with Honeywell’s Aerospace Division.
Wine received an economics degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1989 and served as a Naval Supply Officer until 1996. He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park. He serves on the boards of Polaris, U.S. Bancorp, and Terex Corporation.
