CoreLogic to Close Bloomington Offices, Lay Off 185
Analytics firm CoreLogic Inc. is shuttering its Bloomington offices and laying off about 185 workers, a company spokeswoman confirmed Monday.
The layoffs are slated to start in July and wrap up by the end of the year, according to a company notice filed with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
CoreLogic’s Bloomington offices handle the firm’s appraisal business, says spokeswoman Alyson Austin. The cuts will be affect positions across the board.
Austin says “a change in our business” necessitated the office closure.
In 2018, the California-based firm’s revenue fell 3 percent to $1.78 billion compared to the prior year, while net income tanked 18 percent to $122 million, according to CoreLogic’s earning statement.
The closure effectively ends CoreLogic's presence in Minnesota. The firm's other locations include offices in Texas, California, and Colorado.
