Martin Greeves, an industrial designer in Ireland, has created Shaft Skinz—colorful plastic-film sleeves that cover the steel shafts of golf clubs—and launched them at the Scottish Golf Show this March. “The technology is a labeling method used by many companies to apply labels to irregular bottle surfaces,” he says.

Shaft Skinz slide on, then shrink to fit when you apply heat with a hair dryer. “They can be changed in seconds,” Greeves says, “So they could be thought of as ‘clothes for clubs.’”
