Minnesota has become a hot spot for brewing. In April, three of the state’s breweries—August Schell, Summit, and Cold Spring—made a Brewers Association list of the Top 50 Overall U.S. Brewing Companies based on 2012 sales volume. We asked area brewers for some metrics about their operations. The numbers vary, but one thing is clear: It’s a small group of individuals quenching our growing thirst for craft beer.
