Best Buy Express-the kiosk business of Richfield-based Best Buy Company, Inc.-has opened 150 locations within the past three years and plans to open nearly 100 kiosks within the next year.

Best Buy said Thursday that its upcoming expansion includes two kiosks in the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, California, and multiple locations at college campuses, events, and ferry hubs.

Best Buy Express offers a wide range of products, including computer accessories, digital cameras, storage devices, and headphones. The items closely match standard prices at Best Buy stores. Current kiosk locations include airports, malls, train stations, casinos, and turnpike rest stops-and they primarily target travelers and consumers on the go.

In May, Entrepreneur ranked Best Buy Express first on a list of the “10 brands that can help make business travel more bearable.”

Best Buy is Minnesota's third-largest public company based on revenue, which totaled $49.7 billion for the fiscal year that ended in February 2010. The company reported $50.3 billion in revenue during its most recently completed fiscal year.
