At Target, Lady Gaga’s Out, Jennifer Hudson’s In

The Minneapolis-based retailer offers an exclusive, deluxe version of Jennifer Hudson's new album, I Remember Me.

Target shoppers may not find an exclusive Lady Gaga CD on store shelves, but they can pick up a deluxe edition of Jennifer Hudson's sophomore album.

Target on Monday announced an exclusive distribution deal through which it will sell the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning star's album, I Remember Me. The disc includes four additional tracks and bonus video footage.

News of the deal between Target and Jennifer Hudson comes less than a month after a report that pop star Lady Gaga cut off a distribution deal with the Minneapolis-based retailer. Lady Gaga, who struck a deal with Target in February to offer an exclusive deluxe edition of her new album, reportedly decided to end the partnership because of the company's controversial political donations.

Target says that it has revised its donation policy following backlash after the company gave money to a group that supported Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer, who opposed gay marriage.
