The MIA recently acquired hundreds of objects from collectors Bill and Libby Clark, whose acquisitions constitute one of the most impressive and iconoclastic collections of Asian art in the world. In “The Audacious Eye,” 120 of the collection’s finest objects will be on display for the first time, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, woodblock prints, and bamboo baskets, covering 10 centuries of Japanese art.
