Sherman is one of the most enigmatic and important artists of our time. Using her own face and body as canvas, she appears in various guises in her exploration of identity and representation in art. This fall, in a show originally curated at New York’s MoMa, the Walker Art Center mounts the most comprehensive survey in 15 years. All of Sherman’s major series will be on display—170 photos in all, including her latest, the Society Portraits. Nov. 10–Feb. 17, Walker Art Center, Mpls., 612-375-7600, walkerart.org
