Apex Acquires Wisconsin Document Processing Co.
Little Canada-based Apex announced Monday that it has acquired Green Bay, Wisconsin-based LaserNet, LLC-a provider of document delivery solutions to the health care, financial services, transportation, and utilities industries.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Apex said that it will continue to operate both of LaserNet's offices-located in Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wisconsin-and that all 35 of LaserNet's employees will retain their jobs. Apex also has offices in Dallas and Madison, Wisconsin.
“LaserNet's like-minded management team and marketplace synergies, combined with our world class systems, will create significant opportunities for our clients and our combined firm going forward,” Brian W. Kueppers, founder and CEO of Apex, said in a statement. “Clients of both firms will gain access to the industry's most advanced electronic statement and electronic payment platform, as well as an enhanced client support and end user experience.”
Apex-which is owned by Minnetonka-based Tonka Bay Equity Partners-specializes in document design, analysis, and delivery. The company has developed a propriety electronic statement and payment technology platform for a number of industries, with a special focus on health care.
The company said that it will consider additional acquisitions of companies pursuing similar business strategies.
“Our goal is to provide Web-based statement tools, secure archive, and retrieval technologies, and timely transaction capabilities for a growing client base throughout the center of the United States,” Kueppers said in a statement.
Apex was named one of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in America by Inc. magazine in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
