AllOver Media Acquires Ski Resort Advertiser

The purchase helps AOM reach an affluent audience.

Outdoor advertising company AllOver Media has purchased Aspen, Colorada-based  Ripple Resort Media Inc., which provides ski resort maps on chairlifts that also show present advertisements.

The Plymouth-based company said the purchase is part of its broader strategy to build out and acquire organizations that can reach targeted audiences.

“Ripple Resort Media offers a highly innovative medium for advertising, which is a key goal for AOM,” AllOver CEO Tony Jacobson said in a statement. “[They] target a much sought-after audience and deliver relevant advertising.”

Ripple Resort Media is a particularly attractive acquisition because ski resorts tend to attract an affluent clientele. They already have their maps used at some of the nation’s best-known resorts, including Aspen, Breckenridge, Jackson Hole and Vail.

It also presents a new format for reaching advertising audiences – AllOver currently advertises at gas stations, on bus wraps, in restaurant and bar bathrooms and at kiosks.

AllOver has been on an acquisition streak recently. Earlier this month, the company purchased “urban kiosk” advertiser Prime Point Media and is forming a partnership with Dolex Dollar Express Inc., which provides money-transfer services to Mexico and Latin America.

No employee changes are expected with the deal. Ripple Resort Media will remain in its Aspen offices.
