4 of 250 “Most Popular High-End Restaurants” Are in MN

Chino Latino, Fogo de Chao, La Belle Vie, and The Oceanaire Seafood Room are the four local restaurants that made the cut.

Four Minneapolis eateries are among the 250 “most popular high-end restaurants” in the country, according to online reservation website Urbanspoon.

For the list, the website considered more than 600,000 eateries that it identified as “fine-dining” restaurants.

The four in Minneapolis that made the cut: Chino Latino, Fogo de Chao, La Belle Vie, and The Oceanaire Seafood Room.

The 250 restaurants were selected based on the number of “up votes” and “down votes” that the restaurants received on Urbanspoon, reviews that consumers and critics posted on the website, and the number of page views received by the restaurants' profiles on Urbanspoon.

Chino Latino is located on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood and serves cuisine from around the globe. It is owned by Edina-based Parasole Restaurant Holdings.

The remaining three are in the downtown area. Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse, while Oceanaire serves seafood. La Belle Vie serves French and Mediterranean cuisine and is owned by noted local chef Tim McKee, who was the 2009 James Beard Award-winner in the best chef in the Midwest category.
