4 MN Restaurants Among 100 Best for Service

Acqua Restaurant & Wine Bar, Capital Grille, Joan's in the Park, and Tim McKee's La Belle Vie are among the nation's 100 restaurants that provide the best service, according to OpenTable.

Four Minnesota restaurants are on OpenTable's list of 100 in the United States that provide the best service.

OpenTable, whose website allows diners to make restaurant reservations online, compiled the list based on reviews submitted by its users.

The local eateries that made the cut: Italian restaurant Acqua Restaurant & Wine Bar in White Bear Lake; downtown Minneapolis steakhouse Capital Grille; St. Paul's Joan's in the Park, which serves American fare; and downtown Minneapolis' La Belle Vie, which serves French and Mediterranean cuisine. La Belle Vie is owned by noted local chef Tim McKee, who is the 2009 James Beard Award-winner in the best chef in the Midwest category. The James Beard awards are considered by many to be the Oscars of the restaurant industry.

OpenTable considered nearly 5 million reviews submitted by users from February 2011 through January 2012. It selected the 100 restaurants from a pool of more than 12,000 across the nation based on average ratings they received in the service category.
