Top Tickets: ‘The Habsburgs: Rarely Seen Masterpieces from Europe’s Greatest Dynasty’
The MIA’s most impressive show of this year is an astonishing collection of masterworks that spans more than 600 years of European history. The Habsburg dynasty ruled much of central Europe from the 13th century to the beginning of World War I. This exhibit traces the history of the empire through artwork and artifacts commissioned by its rulers, including armor, uniforms, dresses and a full-size horse carriage embroidered in gold.
