It’s fair to consider Mark Davis the dean (or the godfather) of medical office real estate in the Twin Cities. “That’s probably because I’m old. I’ve been around forever,” laughs Davis. He started working in the sector in the mid-1980s. His Minneapolis-based firm, simply called Davis, manages 2.7 million square feet of medical office space in more than 60 buildings. The company owns, develops, leases, and manages medical buildings in 10 states. “We really touch all parts of health care real estate,” says Davis. The latest Davis development, the 80,000-square-foot Xchange Medical in St. Louis Park, opened fully leased in November. Davis has projects in Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, and Wayzata under construction.
