Charged with leading smart planning and economic growth, the Highland Park and Midway neighborhoods will be on Sage-Martinson’s mind. Highland residents have been fighting over development of the Ford plant site, while the new professional soccer stadium in Midway will affect the surrounding neighborhoods. Beyond those big projects, Sage-Martinson is also evaluating how to get more low-income residents into good jobs and which transportation options will best serve residents and the local economy.
