Twin Citian Angela Lurie started a new job in August that gives her companywide responsibility for Robert Half’s full-time contract talent. A 22-year veteran of Robert Half, Lurie assumed this role during a U.S. labor shortage in many industries. The staffing company is hearing from employers who want top talent with highly specialized skills, “when and where they need it the most,” she says. While many workers are resigning from jobs, Lurie says, “we’re finding candidates who are rethinking their priorities and demanding more in terms of compensation, flexibility, and other benefits.”
